Beach House Open For Business!

The Annenberg Community Beach House at Santa Monica State Beach (415 PCH) is now open to the public. Once a hot spot on Santa Monica's Gold Coast in the 1920s, the Beach House marries the past with the present to create a place like no other. From June - September, beach club-type amenities are available for use on a daily basis.  From October - May, the Beach House is available to rent for events. Stop by for a visit!

Palisades Bluffs Gets a Makeover

Work will start October 26, 2009 to stabilize 1.6 miles of the historic Palisades Bluffs in the City of Santa Monica along Pacific Coast Highway. The project will preserve an important recreational and visual resource that has been a prominent part of the City for over 100 years, and will reduce the risk of future landslides and bluffs erosion. City of LA Cleans Up the Bay

The first of several projects to help clean Santa Monica Bay waters is scheduled to start in October 2009. As part of a series of Proposition O projects, the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works will upgrade the low flow diversion system at PCH and Temescal Canyon Road , and the Marquez low flow diversion system at PCH south of Sunset Boulevard. Prop O projects help protect public health by reducing bacteria, pollution, litter and debris from stormwater runoff, while meeting Federal Clean Water Act requirements.
